Compower Corp. has recently begun offering Ultraviolet (UV) & Germicidal Lighting products as well as Air Purification devices to businesses in all markets. These products have been in use for decades and provide a method of disinfection that has proven to kill 99.9% of viruses and microorganisms.

Compower Corp. deploys either Pulsed Xenon or Fluorescent UV light sources. Both are equally effective at providing UV-C Germicidal results. UV light prevents microorganisms from reproducing by damaging their nucleic acids. It also deactivates the RNA strand in viruses.

While no long-term clinical trials have been completed on Covid19 yet, the overwhelming sentiment of the scientific community is that COVID-19 will be killed by UV-C as other viruses are. The Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) stated that if the virus is illuminated with UV-C at the effective dose level, it can play an effective role along with other methods of disaffection while adhering to UV Protection Guidelines to limit human exposure.
